Raul Duarte Salgueiral Gomes Campilho is a Permanent Associate Professor with Habilitation at ISEP – School of Engineering, Porto, Portugal, specializing in Applied Mechanics within Mechanical Engineering. He holds a PhD and Habilitation in Mechanical Engineering from FEUP, both awarded with distinction. Since 2003, he has taught a wide range of subjects including Finite Element Method, Mechanics of Materials, Machine Design, and CAD/CAM. He has supervised numerous PhD, MSc, and BSc theses and authored an extensive body of scholarly work, including hundreds of journal publications and multiple books. His research focuses on fracture mechanics, composite materials, adhesive joints, and structural design. He is actively engaged in editorial roles, international conferences, and funded research projects.
